This video shows how to Replace a Printhead on the HP PageWide XL Printer Series.

On the front panel, press Ink drop, then Printhead tab, and then Replace. Open the top cover by pressing the side buttons with both hands to access the print bar. Locate the printhead or printheads that you want to replace. Pull up the printhead handle. Lift the latch. Carefully extract the printhead. Printheads are fragile. Do not touch the nozzles since this could cause damage.

If you remove multiple printheads and intend to use them later, make sure you place them in the same order later. Remove the packaging from the new printhead. Insert the new printhead. Press it in firmly until you feel resistance. Close the latch. Close the handle. Then close the top cover. Wait about 15 to 20 minutes while the printer performs automatic calibrations and checks.
