The Copystar CS 4501i is a 45 ppm A4 / 22 ppm A3 black-and-white MFP that adds finishing options the 4500i doesn't have, namely inline stapling, hole punching, and saddle-stitch booklet making if you spec the right finisher. 600 x 600 dpi native, 9,600 dpi equivalent through Kyocera's multi-bit smoothing. Standard tray is 1,150 sheets and you can grow it to 7,150. The 100-sheet ADF is standard, 175-sheet is optional. Scan speed hits 160 ipm in mono. The HyPas platform lets you run business apps directly on the panel (cloud connectors, custom workflows) without a separate server. The regret: at 22 ppm A3 it's not fast for tabloid work, so if you print a lot of 11x17 plans or spreadsheets you'll feel the slowdown compared to dedicated A3 engines.
