The visible upgrades are the new ARM Cortex-A53 controller, USB 3.0 (versus 2.0), tighter security (TLS 1.3, S/MIME, SCEP/OCSP, FIPS 140-2 IPsec via Data Security Kit 10, Common Criteria EAL2), and the new DP-7160/DP-7170 dual-scan document processors that hit 274 ipm one-pass duplex with optional staple-detection (DP-7170) — a real productivity gain for departments that scan mixed-condition originals. Print resolution is now marketed as 4800 x 1200 dpi. Standard capacity is 1,150 sheets across two 500-sheet drawers and a 150-sheet MPT, expandable to 7,150.
