The Lanier MP 3554 is the 35 ppm A3 mono laser MFP — the speed leader of the modern Lanier MP 2554/3054/3554 platform. It targets workgroups and departments of 25-50 printing 8,000-20,000 pages a month. The chassis runs at 35 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi with a 4.3-second first-page-out, holds 1,200 sheets standard across two 550-sheet trays plus a 100-sheet bypass, and expands to 4,700 sheets with optional Tandem LCT and Side LCT. The standard 100-sheet ARDF scans at 79 ipm. Print, copy, scan, and fax are all standard with auto duplex; connectivity covers Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, optional Wi-Fi, and optional NFC. The standard 9-inch color LCD upgrades to a 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel for tap-and-swipe operation. Powered by a 533 MHz processor, 2 GB RAM, and 320 GB HDD, it supports document server (3,000 file capacity), stored/locked print, and the full Lanier security suite (DOSS, HDD encryption, S/MIME, IPsec). The 300,000-page rated duty cycle is the highest in the family. The chassis is 23 x 26.8 x 35.9 inches at 151 lb on a 120V/12A circuit. The thing buyers regret: under-buying the finisher. If you're at 35 ppm, you're producing volume — plan the SR3150 booklet finisher or the SR3140 1,000-sheet finisher into the original quote. Adding it after install is twice the hassle.
