The Lanier MP 9002SP is a floor-standing tabloid (11x17) B&W laser MFP built for central reprographic departments and production print environments of 75-150 users. It prints and copies at 90 ppm — the fastest engine in the Aficio MP 6002/7502/9002 generation. Standard paper capacity is 4,300 sheets across dual 1,550-sheet tandem trays, two 550-sheet drawers, and a 100-sheet bypass, expandable to 8,300 sheets with the optional 4,000-sheet Large Capacity Tray. First-copy-out is 2.9 seconds, warm-up is around 5 minutes (standard for production-class engines this size). The 150-sheet Automatic Reversing Document Feeder (ARDF) handles two-sided originals by flipping them — slower than the single-pass SPDF on the newer MP 9003. The 9-inch tilting color LCD with USB and SD slots is the previous-generation Ricoh control panel. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, and SD card; Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and IEEE 1284 are optional. The thing buyers regret: not ordering finishers up front — retrofitting a 3,000-sheet finisher later is more painful than just spec'ing it day one. Launched 2010, discontinued — sold refurbished or off-lease now.
