It prints and copies at up to 55 ppm, scans at 60 ipm simplex / 100 ipm duplex (B&W) and 40 ipm simplex / 62 ipm duplex (color) on a 100-sheet single-pass document feeder, and prints at up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Standard paper capacity is 600 sheets (500-sheet tray plus 100-sheet bypass), expandable to 2,600 sheets with the 4 x 500-sheet PB1160 paper tray option. Fax (PSTN/PBX) is standard. Toner runs 25,500 pages standard yield — meaningfully better than the IM 430's 17,400 if you're pushing real volume. The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel matches the rest of the Savin A3 and A4 line, and Always Current Technology pushes firmware and security updates over the air. The #1 question we get on this printer is "which toner do I buy?" Short answer: you have two cartridge options and a drum. Standard yield TN830 covers roughly 1,200 pages. High yield TN830XL covers roughly 4,500 pages and is the better value for most offices. Pick XL unless you print very little.
