The Savin MP 9002SP is a floor-standing A3 monochrome multifunction from the previous-generation Aficio MP 6002/7502/9002 platform (rebadged Ricoh MP 9002SP), built as a 90-ppm production-class workhorse for copy centers, in-plant print shops, and high-volume mailrooms running 30,000-80,000 pages a month. Print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi, first-copy-out is 2.9 seconds, and the 150-sheet reversing ARDF scans at 88 ipm simplex / 176 ipm duplex. Standard paper capacity is 4,300 sheets across the tandem 1,550 x 2 tray, two 550-sheet drawers, and a 100-sheet bypass — expandable to 8,300 with the optional LCT. Control panel is the older 8.5" color WVGA touchscreen, not the modern 10.1" Smart Operation Panel. 250 GB hard drive with DOSS standard. Requires a dedicated 208-240V/20A circuit — this is the highest-draw model in its class. New sales discontinued when the MP 9003 launched; most field units today are refurbished. What buyers regret: most don't — at 90 ppm with a paid-off lease, this is the cheapest per-page mono A3 you can buy. The one upgrade reason: the MP 9003's single-pass scanner roughly doubles scan throughput, which matters in scan-heavy environments.
