The Savin MP 9003 is a floor-standing A3 monochrome production-class multifunction (rebadged Ricoh MP 9003), the 90 ppm flagship of the 6503/7503/9003 series. Built for copy centers, in-plant print rooms, and central reprographics running 35,000-90,000 pages a month. Prints and copies at 90 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi, scans at 120 ipm simplex / 220 ipm duplex through a 300-sheet single-pass DSDF, and first-copies in 2.9 seconds. Standard paper capacity is 4,300 sheets across a 1,550-sheet tandem tray, two 550-sheet drawers, and a 100-sheet bypass — expandable to 8,300 with the LCIT4040 LCT. The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel runs Android-style apps, supports one-touch shortcut workflows, and pulls firmware from the Ricoh Application Site. 320 GB HDD with DataOverwriteSecurity. Of the three sister machines (6503/7503/9003), the 9003 draws 3.23 kWh peak — significantly more than the 7503 — and is not EPEAT-rated, where the 7503 is. What buyers regret: under-speccing the finisher. The base machine has no built-in stapler. Budget $2-6K for the SR4080/SR4120/SR4130 finisher up front. Requires a dedicated 208-240V/20A outlet.

Toner, yields, and what to actually reorder

The #1 question we get on this printer is "which toner do I buy?" Short answer: you have two cartridge options and a drum. Standard yield TN830 covers roughly 1,200 pages. High yield TN830XL covers roughly 4,500 pages and is the better value for most offices. Pick XL unless you print very little.

The drum unit (DR810) is separate and usually lasts 15,000 to 30,000 pages before it needs replacing. At a typical small office volume, expect to change it once every 2 to 4 years.
