The Savin MP C501SP is an A4 color laser desktop multifunction (rebadged Ricoh MP C501SP), the speed flagship of the A4 color desktop class. Built for workgroups of 8-25 people printing 3,000-10,000 color pages a month with no need for 11x17. Prints and copies at 52 ppm in both color and B&W at up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, first-copies in 4.5 seconds B&W and 5.7 seconds color — meaningfully faster than the 42 ppm MP C407 in the same chassis. Standard paper capacity is 600 sheets across one 500-sheet tray and a 100-sheet bypass; max is 2,300 sheets with optional paper banks. The 100-sheet single-pass SPDF is standard — 79 ipm simplex / 158 ipm duplex. Control panel is the larger 9" color WVGA touchscreen. AirPrint and Mopria are standard. Scan-to-email, scan-to-folder (SMB/FTP), and scan-to-USB are standard. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB Type A; Wi-Fi/NFC are optional via interface unit. Recommended monthly volume is 3,000-10,000 color pages; rated max duty cycle is 150,000 — same as the A3 MP C4504. The thing buyers regret: not realizing they actually needed A3.
