It runs 1200x1200 dpi, supports stocks up to 300 gsm and sheets to 12x18, and the standard 1,200-sheet two-tray input expands to 4,700 sheets across multiple LCITs for unattended runs through a busy afternoon. PostScript 3, PCL6, and PDF direct printing handle mixed environments, and the 220-sheet single-pass duplex feeder scans both sides in one motion at up to 180 ipm — much faster than the older reversing duplex feeders found on prior-generation MFPs that flipped originals one at a time. Inline finishing covers stapling, hole-punch, and saddle-stitch booklet via the optional finisher, which means proposals come off the device finished rather than going to a manual stapling station. One regret: the C5502 generation predates current security firmware — if your IT team requires the latest hardening features for zero-trust networks, look at the C5503 successor instead, because backporting security patches isn't part of Ricoh's roadmap.
