Is this the right printer for you?

Who the Savin IM C2000 is actually for

Most printer pages just tell you what a printer does. Here's the honest version: when this machine is the right choice, when it's fine, and when you should look at something else. We sell a lot of these for a reason, but the reason is not "every office."

Best fit

Pick this if...

  • You run a small office or workgroup of 8-20 people that needs A3 (11x17) color output in-house at a sane price point.
  • You print 1,500-4,000 pages a month — the 16,500-page black toner and 10,500-page color toners hit reasonable cost-per-page at this volume.
  • You occasionally print SRA3 or 12x18 banners and want a chassis that takes them through the bypass.
  • You want the same 10.1" Smart Operation Panel and Always Current Technology that the bigger Savin C-series uses, so the workflow scales as you upgrade.
  • You want color but won't pay for the IM C3500's faster engine — at 20 ppm this is the entry price for the IM C-series chassis.
Works fine

You'll be happy if...

  • You print up to 6,000 pages a month — the engine handles it but at that load you should price the IM C2500 (25 ppm, same chassis).
  • You scan a lot of two-sided originals — the 100-sheet ARDF works, but it's a reversing feeder, not single-pass; the IM C3000 and up have a true 220-sheet single-pass duplex feeder that's much faster on duplex.
  • You want Wi-Fi but didn't budget for it — the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n unit is optional, not standard.
  • You'd like a finisher — the 1,000-sheet booklet finisher (SR3270) and 250- or 500-sheet internal finishers all bolt on.
Look elsewhere

Skip this if...

  • You print under 800 pages a month — the IM C2000 is overbuilt for kiosk duty; a desktop A4 color MFP at $700 will do it.
  • You scan stacks of duplex documents daily — the ARDF is the slow scanner option in the C-series; get the IM C3000 or higher with the 220-sheet single-pass duplex feeder.
  • You print 6,000+ pages a month — step up to the IM C3000, IM C3500, or IM C4500 on the same chassis family.
  • You print mostly Letter at low color volume — a desktop A4 color MFP makes more sense at low volume.
  • You don't need 11x17 or SRA3 — you're paying for the A3 chassis. The IM C300F or IM C400F (A4 color) is the right call.
Full specifications

Every spec, no guessing

The Savin IM C2000 is the entry point of Savin's IM C-series A3 color line — a 20 ppm color and B&W floor-standing multifunction built for small offices and workgroups of 8-20 people that need real tabloid (11x17) color output in-house but don't print enough volume to justify the faster IM C3500 or IM C4500. It prints and copies at up to 20 ppm in both color and B&W with a 5.1/7.4 second first-page-out, scans at 80 ipm simplex via the 100-sheet ARDF (auto reversing document feeder — not single-pass), and prints at up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Standard paper capacity is 1,200 sheets across two 550-sheet drawers plus the bypass; the maximum is 2,300 sheets. The bypass takes SRA3 and 12x18 stock for the occasional banner or full-bleed brochure. The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel and Always Current Technology are identical to the rest of the Savin IM C-series, so admin and user workflows are consistent across a mixed fleet. Toner runs 16,500 pages black and 10,500 pages per color. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB; Wi-Fi, NFC, and fax are all optional. The thing buyers regret: assuming the ARDF on the C2000 is the same as the single-pass duplex feeder on the C3000 and up. It isn't — if you scan a lot of two-sided documents, the C2000 will feel slow, and the C3000's 220-sheet single-pass feeder is the right choice.

Supplies & consumables

Toner, yields, and what to actually reorder

The #1 question we get on this printer is "which toner do I buy?" Short answer: you have two cartridge options and a drum. Standard yield TN830 covers roughly 1,200 pages. High yield TN830XL covers roughly 4,500 pages and is the better value for most offices. Pick XL unless you print very little.

The drum unit (DR810) is separate and usually lasts 15,000 to 30,000 pages before it needs replacing. At a typical small office volume, expect to change it once every 2 to 4 years.

If you lease this printer through us, toner and drum are included. You never pay for supplies separately. That's usually the better deal once you add up real costs over 3 years.

Yes. The MFC-L2759DW ships with a high-yield 4,500-page starter toner cartridge, which is roughly 3 to 6 months of toner for a typical small office. Replacement toner is Savin TN830XL (high-yield, about 4,500 pages) or TN830 (standard yield, about 1,200 pages). When you lease through us with toner included, you never pay for toner separately.

The Savin IM C2000 is the refreshed version of the MFC-L2750DW with updated firmware, a longer-life drum, and an expanded starter toner yield (4,500 pages versus 3,000). Print speed, automatic 2-sided print and scan, and connectivity are identical. For most small offices the 2759DW is the better long-term value because of the larger included toner.

Yes, for small offices printing under about 2,500 pages per month. It's fast at 36 ppm, handles auto 2-sided print and scan, supports Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and has a 50-page document feeder for multi-page scans. If you regularly print more than 5,000 pages per month or need color, step up to a commercial-grade multifunction printer — see our commercial printer options.

No. The MFC-L2759DW is monochrome (black and white) only. It cannot print color. If you need color, look at the Brother MFC-L3750CDW or a commercial color multifunction printer like the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX or Konica Minolta bizhub series.

Savin includes a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty on the MFC-L2759DW when purchased new from an authorized reseller. 1-800 Office Solutions is an authorized Savin reseller. Extended warranty and full-service maintenance plans are available through our managed print services bundle, which covers parts, labor, and on-site service for the life of the agreement.

Yes. Free delivery is included on every Savin IM C2000 order shipped within the continental United States. Most orders ship within 1 to 2 business days and arrive within 2 to 5 business days. Install guidance is available by phone or remote session at no extra cost.
