The Lanier MP C2004ex is the SPDF-equipped variant of the MP C2004 platform — a desktop tabloid (11x17) color laser MFP built for workgroups of 5-25 users that need real A3 color and single-pass duplex scanning. It prints and copies at 20 ppm in both black and color, holds 1,200 sheets standard across two 550-sheet drawers and a 100-sheet bypass, and is rated for a 1,000,000-page max engine ceiling (Lanier recommends staying under ~9,000 pages/month for sane consumable economics). First-copy-out is 5.4 seconds black / 7.6 seconds color and warm-up is around 26 seconds. The standard 100-sheet single-pass duplex feeder (SPDF) is the main upgrade over the base C2004 ARDF — operators stop flipping originals. The 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel runs the same workflow apps as the rest of the current Ricoh/Lanier MP lineup. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, USB host on the front, and SD card; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC are optional. AirPrint and Mopria are standard. The thing buyers regret: paying for the ex revision when they only print 500 pages a month and never scan more than 5 originals at a time — at that load the base MP C2003 makes more sense.
