Every spec, no guessing
The Xerox 4112 Enterprise Printing System (EPS) is a 110 ppm mono production printer built for enterprise in-plant operations, transactional print, and commercial print bureaus doing 100,000-500,000 pages per month. It prints at 110 ppm Letter, 69 ppm Legal, 55 ppm Tabloid, and 34 ppm SRA3 with 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution, 1200 x 1200 dpi RIP, 106 lpi default halftone (or 150 lpi high quality mode), and a 3.5-second first copy out. Front-to-back registration is +/- 0.7 mm — tight enough for perfect-bound book and short-run commercial work. Standard paper capacity is 4,250 sheets across six standard sources; max capacity is 8,250 sheets with optional High-Capacity Feeders and Oversized HCF (1- or 2-tray, 2,000 sheets each, 8x10 to 13x19.2, 18 lb to 110 lb). The 250-sheet duplex ADF scans mono originals; standard finisher covers 3,000-sheet stacking with single or dual 100-sheet variable-length stapling, 2- and 3-hole punch, and built-in bidirectional decurler. Optional Booklet Maker adds saddle-stitch and the High-Capacity Stacker adds 5,000-sheet offset output with rollaway cart. Print workflow runs on the FreeFlow Print Server (SUN platform) supporting PostScript, PDF, PCL, VIPP, PPML, IPDS, and variable-data jobs concurrently. Security covers Strong Passwords, Secure FTP, IP Filtering, Port Blocking, removable hard drive, and disk overwrite. Buyer regret: spec'ing the 4112 when AMPV was actually 300,000+ pages/mo — the 4127 (125 ppm) handles the same workflow with more headroom. Best for shops that already operate the platform or need a known FreeFlow-compatible unit at 110 ppm.
