Copier lease end check
Your copier lease is ending. Know what's in it first.
The end of a copier lease is where most of the surprises live. Tell us when yours ends and what you have. We'll send you a plain checklist of what to look for in your own contract, and a replacement estimate from a partner dealer who serves your area.
What people say after a copier lease goes wrong.
Each of these is written somewhere in the lease. Here is where to look.
It kept billing after the end date.
I thought we owned it at the end.
Returning it turned into a project of its own.
We didn't see the full cost of the upgrade until after we signed.
Quotes are the kind of thing office managers say after the fact. Your lease may say something different.
- A plain checklist of what to find in your own lease, by email.
- A replacement estimate from a partner dealer who serves your area.
- No math, no uploads. "Not sure" is always an answer.
We're not lawyers. Your lease sets the exact dates.
Your lease end check
Thanks, we've got it.
You'll get an email from us with the checklist for your lease. Then a partner dealer who serves your area reaches out by phone or email to confirm your machines and send the replacement estimate.
In the meantime, pull out your lease and find the end of term section. That's where the dates live. We're not lawyers. Your lease sets the exact dates.
If you'd rather not hear from the dealer after all, reply to our email and say so.

The same list we email you. We show you where to look. We never work out a date for you.
- The end date, or the term in months plus the start date.
- How many days before the end date written notice has to reach the lessor, and whether that counts calendar or business days.
- Where that notice has to go, and whether certified mail is required.
- What happens if no one writes: does it renew, for how long, and at what rate.
- The return terms: who ships, where, and how many days you have.
- Anything about the hard drive or the data on the machine.
- Any buyout option, and how the buyout price is set.
Lease end questions
Where do I find my lease end date?
Start with the lease itself. Look for the term in months and the start date, which is usually the day the machine was delivered or accepted, then count forward. Many leases also print the term or the end date on the schedule page or on each invoice. If you still can't find it, choose "Not sure yet" on the form and we'll tell you which pages to look at. We won't work it out for you, but we'll make the hunt shorter.
What happens if I let the lease run out without doing anything?
That depends on your contract. Many copier leases keep billing or renew unless written notice reaches the lessor before the end date. Your lease may also say how and when the machine has to go back. Read the end of term section and confirm the exact wording. We aren't lawyers.
Can you tell me the exact date I need to act by?
No, and we'd rather be straight about that. Your lease sets the dates, and the only way to know them for sure is to read your own contract or have your attorney read it. What we can do is send you a short checklist of the lines to look for.
Who sends the estimate, and who do I deal with after that?
We put your details together and send them to a partner dealer who serves your area. The dealer contacts you by phone or email, confirms your machines and volume, and sends the estimate. There's no fee for the estimate and no obligation to accept it.
Does it matter what brand of copier I have now?
Not much. The estimate is for a replacement, so what counts is the kind of machine and how much you print. Tell us the make and model if you know them, plus the volume. Our partner dealers carry several brands and will suggest a comparable machine.
