Some HP LaserJet Managed MFPs have an exterior convenience stapler that allows you to staple multiple documents manually. Your printer must have the optional finisher accessory attached for this feature to work. Tap your document on a flat surface to align the pages. Make sure the printer is not in sleep mode. Press the Staple button on the top of the finisher.
When the light switches from red to white, insert the document at an angle and face-down with the side to staple inserted first. The finisher staples the documents. The printer indicates stapling is complete with a special sound.
